John E. Godard, M.D.

John E. Godard, M.D. Specializes in cataracts, lens implants (IOL's) and has over 16 years experience in ocular surgery, and refractive surgery (RK, PRK, and LASIK). Dr. Godard received his B.A. in Biology from Emory University in 1964. He attended the Medical College of Georgia between 1964-68, where he received his M.D. Degree. He did his Straight Medical Internship at the Medical College of Georgia from 1968-69. Between 1973-76 he served his Residency in Ophthalmology from the Medical College of Georgia. Dr. Godard practiced in the United States Air Force from 1969-73, with a discharge rank of Major with Commendation Medal. Dr. Godard has been in private practice of ophthalmology in Carrollton, GA since 1976-Present. Dr. Godard is Board Certified by the State Board of Medical Examiners and American Board of Ophthalmology.

 


 

Roger M. Rossomondo, M.D.

Roger M. Rossomondo, M.D. specializes in cataracts, IOL's, glaucoma, ocular plastic surgery, contact lens and refractive surgery (LASIK). Dr. Rossomondo received his B.S. Degree in Biology from Providence College in 1966. He attended the Cornell University Medical College between 1966-1970, where he received his M.D. Degree. He did his internship at the Medical College of Georgia Affiliated Hospitals from 1970-71. He served his Residency from the Medical College of Georgia Affiliated Hospitals in Augusta, Georgia, between 1971-1974. Dr. Rossomondo was Major, Chief of Ophthalmology Department in the United States Airforce Hospital at the Kirtland Air Force Base, New Mexico from 1974-1976. Dr. Rossomondo served as Chief of the Department of Surgery at Tanner Medical Center in 1987. Dr. Rossomondo has been in private practice of Ophthalmology in Carrollton, GA since 1976-Present. Dr. Rossomondo is Board Certified by the State Board of Medical Examiners and American Board of Ophthalmology.

 


 

G. Keith Berry, M.D.

G. Keith Berry, MD joined Carrollton Eye Clinic in August 2008. He is a board certified ophthalmologist with extensive training and experience in refractive surgery (all laser LASIK and Advanced Surface Ablation), advanced cataract surgery techniques, various glaucoma treatments and plastic surgery of the upper face. Dr. Berry earned his M.D. degree from The Duke University School of Medicine in Durham, North Carolina. He served in the United States Air Force as a primary care physician (delivering babies, treating heart disease and diabetes) while training as a fighter-jet flight surgeon. Dr. Berry served three years as an F-15 flight surgeon before entering surgical training. Since completing his ophthalmology residency, Dr Berry consistently served the Air force as an ophthalmic surgeon and consultant as well as various other roles. As the Chief of Surgical Specialties of Keesler Medical Center, he combined ophthalmology, plastic surgery, and otolaryngology efforts to provide comprehensive cosmetic reconstruction services for wounded veterans. His final assignment was the lead surgeon and Director of Refractive Surgery Services serving all Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine and Coast Guard personnel in the Southeast.

 


 

John Thomas, M.D.

John Thomas, M.D., fellowship-trained and retinal surgery, has weekly appointments in the clinic for consultation and care. Dr. Thomas received his B.A. Degree in Chemistry from The College of Wooster, in 1982. He attended the Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, where he received his M.D. Degree in 1986. He did his internship at Emory University Hospital, Grady Memorial Hospital, and Veteran's Administration Medical Center between 1986-87. He served his Residency in Internal Medicine from Emory University Hospital, Grady Memorial Hospital, Veteran's Administration Medical Center, and Piedmont Hospital between 1987-89. He served his Residency in Ophthalmology from Emory University Hospital, Grady Memorial Hospital, Veteran's Administration Medical Center. He did his Fellowship in Vitreoretinal Disease and Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine, Cullen Eye Institute from 1992-93. Dr. Thomas served as Clinical Instructor in Ophthalmology at Baylor College of Medicine from 1992-93. Dr. Thomas is Board Certified by the State Board of Medical Examiners and American Board of Ophthalmology.

 


 

Eric B. Baylin, M.D.

Eric B. Baylin, M.D., fellowship-trained ophthalmic & facial plastic surgeon, has bi-weekly appointments in our office. Dr. Baylin earned his B.S. in Biology from the University of Maryland at College Park as an honor graduate in 1992. He attended the University of Texas Medical School at Houston from 1996-2000 where he earned his medical degree. He did his transitional internship at the Christus St. Joseph Hospital in Houston, Texas from 2000-2001. He served his residency in Ophthalmology from the Cole Eye Institute: The Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, Ohio from 2001-2004. He did his Fellowship with the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery from 2004-2006.
